Come along with the Metro/St Louis Storytellers as they meet up with tricksters, fools, and mayhaps some wild banshees to boot! These stories follow adult themes of lost love, lost money, and lost souls. Laugh and cry as area professional storytellers take you down the road less traveled. Kathy Schottel will start the evening with some lively music as she sings and plays along with her acoustic guitar. Local storyteller Marilyn Kinsella will emcee and introduce the storytellers for the evening — Riverwind Storytellers Co. and the St. Louis Gateway Storytellers. Then, it will be your turn to kiss the Blarney Stone — Open Mic! Tell your own story or poem or sing a song. Let the stories begin!

In research involving 50,000 men over 20 years, scientists led by Kathryn Wilson at Harvard’s Channing Laboratory found that the 5 percent of men who drank 6 or more cups a day had a 60 percent lower risk of developing the advanced form of the disease than those who didn’t consume any. The risk was about 20 percent lower for the men who drank 1 to 3 cups a day, and 25 percent lower for those consuming 4 or 5 cups.
